One More Soul!

3022115992_af35d631ceA wealthy businessman was once asked, “How much money is enough?” The businessman responded, “One more dollar”. A person may ask, “How many souls are enough?” The answer is, “One more soul”.

It is so important that we never lose sight of why we do all that we do as Christians, ministers and members of the Church. We must never forget the value of a person’s life. It’s too easy in life to get sidetracked by lesser priorities and become cynical about people and circumstances. But the value of a person’s life can never be taken for granted.

How are you doing in this area? Have you become weary in the battle for souls? Have you been down so long in the trenches that you’ve mistaken the edge of your rut for the horizon? Don’t forget why God called you in the first place. It wasn’t about you, it was about others. Why? Because Jesus Christ came to seek and save the lost and that’s what’s most important.

We become weary in well doing when we forget why we’re doing good in the first place (Gal 6:9). Lift your vision off yourself and your circumstances and remember why you are doing what you are doing. More favorable opportunities will come and go but the lives God has called you to impact, you will be held accountable for. I read a scary verse in Romans 14:12 this morning, which said, “So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.”

You and I are going to have to give an account of ourselves to God. God will hold us accountable for what we did out of what he asked us to do. Don’t take this lightly. There are people God has appointed unto salvation which he has called you to minister to and I would encourage you to refocus yourself, renew your sense of calling and go after that one more soul cause that one more soul matters to God.
