Never Give Up!

We all face seasons and circumstances in life when we want to give up. It could be because of disappointment with people, discouragement with results or disillusionment with unrealised expectations that we consider throwing in the towel. It’s in these seasons that we must remind ourselves of the reason why we started on this road in the first place.

The Trip

All of us will face bumps and challenges along the pathway to fulfilling the dream or a worthy goal. Don’t let the trip take you out and away from the dream God has put into your heart. Don’t settle for second best and miss God’s desired will for your life. Many people settle for God’s permissive will rather than fulfilling God’s perfect will and feel comfortable about it.

Eye’s on Prize

Keep your eye on the prize and don’t take them off it. People, circumstances and enticing distractions will attempt to derail you but you have got to maintain your posture of faith towards the vision deep in the conviction of your heart. I asked Ps John Cameron at this years Activate Conference, “What has been one of the keys that has helped grow the church he leads?” He replied, “I just never gave up.”

Winston Churchill

When you feel like giving up on God, life and your job, take Winston Churchill’s advice who was facing adversity against the Nazi’s in WW2, “Never give up. Never, never, never give up.”
