Kingdom Culture Pt9 – Worship

Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”

A lot of western Christians take a haphazard approach to gathering together for corporate worship. There is even some Christians who think that they can grow in isolation without the need to gather together with other believers in corporate community. Community is where the fruits of the Spirit have an opportunity to be developed in your life.

I believe that the scripture teaches the fundamental importance of gathering together to stir up one another to love and good works and not to neglect the importance of meeting together in corporate worship.

Acknowledging God’s greatness and mercy in our lives together is a key part of church life and covenant community. Although it doesn’t matter where we worship God (John 4:21-24), it does matter that we gather together to celebrate God’s presence and work in our lives.

God is worth giving honour and glory to. Make corporate worship a key priority in your daily and weekly life. Worship isn’t just singing or giving, it’s our entire lives offered up to God everyday.
