There are not many pathways to God!

Jesus is the only WAY!

Jesus is the only WAY!

We are living in a world where people think that there are many pathways to God or Heaven. This is unbiblical and not true. By the way, there is such a thing as absolute truth, regardless of what post-modernists say. Everything is not relative to the inidividual. Absolute truth is summed up in the person of Jesus Christ. He said in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me.”

I read the book of 1st Corinthians this morning and the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 8:4-6 says, “As to the eating of fooed offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.” For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth – as indeed there are many gods and many lords – yet for us there is one God, the Father from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.”

We have one God made up of 3 persons in the Godhead – Father, Son & Holy Spirit. In the same way that a married couple becomes one flesh when they sleep together, so too the three persons in the Godhead are one because of the divine community they share with each other. Marital sex is a limited picture of the oneness of God, not the act but the concept.

The next time you hear someone sprouting off multiple pathways to heaven, peace or God, remind yourself of these scriptural truths and stay steadfast in your belief in the oneness of God and in Christ as being the only way to the Father.

For further reading on the subject, other than the bible pick up a copy of “Jesus among other gods” by Ravi Zacharias.

  1. Chad Williams Says:

Here is a basic guide to relativity which may help explain the concept to you.

You will notice that matter is in fact relative to the individual no matter how much you’d like it not to be for the sake of your argument. If the text isn’t convincing visit a high school science lab and the resident teacher will show you how it works.

Your unyielding outbursts about what is right and true are very holy, but not in a religious sense.

  2. Good to see your post Chad, but in this case, I believe you’re missing the point.

Corey’s not referring to the physics of relative movement – he’s referring to the Ultimate Questions that all “world views” must answer in establishing itself. (questions of Origin, Meaning, Morality and Destiny).

Truth by definition is mutually exclusive!
It would be more accurate to say all “World Views” are wrong, than to say all are correct (or potentially relative to an individual). If I claim that I’m wearing a watch, then I’m either wearing the watch (true) or not wearing the watch (false). It’s impossible to be both wearing a watch and not wearing a watch at the same time!

Some then come to the statement: There is no such thing as ‘Truth’.
This statement doesn’t even hold up against itself! If there is no such thing as Truth, then how do we know that this statement holds any truth!?

Even the Buddhist or Hindu – who claim many paths, and encourage Christians to pursue their faith – they only do so because a Non-negotiable for them is re-incarnation. Therefore, you’ll be re-born and re-born again & again… UNTIL you find your way onto their path.

There are plenty of great questions out there, but just because you or I may not have an immediate answer, that doesn’t mean there is no answer! When I was 2, I had no idea that 1+1=2, but does that make the actual answer untrue for me as a 2 year old? I’d encourage you to really look into these matters. Pretty good website is:

  3. I think you’re missing the point Chad. Corey’s not referring to the relativeness of physics. He’s referring to the key questions that everyone must be able to account for our ‘World Views’. These are questions of: Origin, Meaning, Morality and Destiny – and the answers must be uniquely and collectively be in harmony (something only the Christian faith can truly do).

Truth by definition is exclusive! It would be more accurate to say that all ‘world views’ are wrong, than to say they are all correct. Because they all contradict each other. For example, if I say I’m wearing a watch on my left wrist – it’s either true or false. It’s impossible to be true and false at the same time.

Even the Buddhist or Hindu faith – who would encourage you to pursue your Christian walk (if that’s the path you were on) – is mutually exclusive! Because one of the 2 non-negotiables for them is re-incarnation. Therefore, you would be re-born and re-born, again and again… until you reached THEIR path!

There are many great questions, in which we all should be able to give an account for, but just because you or I may not have an current answer – it doesn’t mean that there is no answer… Eg. when I was 2 years old, I had no idea that 1+1=2, but that didn’t mean there was no Truthful right or wrong answer because it was beyond my comprehension at the time. For what it’s worth, I’d encourage you to look closer into these matters.

A good website to start with is:

  4. Do people who claim that there is no such thing as absolute truth realise the irony in their claim?
