ignorant or informed?

I’m starting a new teaching series at Activate Church called ‘Forces that form your future’. The forces I’m going to be exploring first is ‘ignorance’ and ‘information’.

Jeremiah 29:11-12 says, “For i know the plans i have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future. Call upon me and come and pray to me…”

God already has prophetic foreknowledge of his plans for our lives but for his plans to become apart of our reality, we must partner with God. Partnership with God is the difference between being ignorant or informed.

Ignorance of God’s plans for your future is a force that forms your future as much as being informed of Gods plans is a force that forms your future.

If you want to be ignorant of what God has for you in 2009 don’t do anything different, just go sit in a cafe, suck on a latte and coast through the rest of the year. But if you want to positively shape your future then you must seek after God with all your heart.

Informed people seek after God with all their heart. They don’t do the same things expecting different results (definition of insanity), they get out of the box and go after God with all of their hearts.

God has plans to prosper you in 2009. Are you in partnership with his plans for your life? What force are you going to allow to form your future this year?
