What’s Your Holy Discontent?

One of the thoughts i’m processing at the moment is, ‘what is my holy discontent?’ What is a holy discontent?

Your holy discontent is that one issue that get’s your blood boiling, sparks your passion and compels you to action. It’s created by a firestorm of significant events and experiences in your life where you have been exposed to some injustice or negative mindset that has marked you.

Causes and revolutions are started by holy discontent and once you tap into yours you become an influencer of others and the world around you.

I have a couple of holy discontent’s but one of them is MEDIOCRITY! Just writing this word makes me go from 0 to 100 in a split second. If there is one thing i cannot stand, it’s settling for less than God’s best. When i see this in environments and in people’s attitudes i want to do something about it. It doesn’t matter where it’s demonstrated or in whom i see it in i want to shake that person and say, ‘Don’t you realise there is more in you than what you are currently using?’…’Don’t you realise what God has in store for you?’…’Don’t you know you’ve been made in the image of God?’

Mediocrity is not God’s heart for any of us. When we are capable of more than we think and yet we settle for second best, it’s a slap in the face of God.

You have been made in the image of God, don’t limit yourself to mediocrity but give your best because you are capable of it.

What’s your holy discontent? What sets you off and gets you on your soapbox? Identify it and tap into it because it’s a key to your destiny.
