No Testimony without a TEST!

3104546267_b36cd026192 Corinthians 1:8-10 “For we do not want you to be ignorant brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.”

I have recently returned from the State ACC Conference and it was a fantastic time of encouragement and inspiration. During the conference I heard the speakers share many stories and testimonies of God’s mercy in the midst of tragedy and hardship. Each of the speakers were able to share their testimony because of the tests they had faced and overcome.

You can’t have a testimony without a TEST!

Many Christians I know want to be able to also share a testimony of God bringing breakthrough and transformation into their world but the problem is to have a testimony you need to pass through the valley of a test. Testimonies are powerful because of the test that was overcome in the process.

You can’t have a testimony without a TEST!

The Apostle Paul was able to share his testimony with the Corinthians because God took him through a test. He pointed out that what he had been through had served to help him rely more upon God than himself. The tests we face in life can either become our tombstones or our stepping stones to greater heights in God.

You can’t have a testimony without a TEST!

The next time you are going through a test, don’t despise the test but look for the insights you can take away from the test and remember you can’t have a testimony without a test.

Corey I agree with you that a marriage relationship can make ministry either impossible or absolutely enjoyable.
Similarly a congregation’s attitude towards the Pastors can either make ministry a wonderful experience or a sad experience for you as their spiritual leader.
I have always preached this wherever we were in ministry: THE CONGREGATION ON THEIR KNEES KEEP THE PASTORS ON THEIR FEET.
SELAH upon this & thank-you Corey for your really wonderful ministry …you really are anointed by God , filled with The Holy Spirit , and reflecting JESUS!
Always stay that way with your beautiful wife Simone.
    Love you…….Mum
